Job Overview Leads hands-on innovation for medical devices, focusing on early-stage concept generation, feasibility, and translational research. Responsible for inventing and developing novel technologies and advancing them toward product development within a regulated environment. Job Responsibilities And Essential Duties A list of the main responsibilities and percentage of time spent in each responsibility or group of responsibilities: Innovation & Concept Development (60%) Research (25%) Cross-functional Collaboration (10%) Technical Leadership (5%) Minimum Requirements Master’s (preferred) or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering or related technical field with 5+ years of experience. 3+ years in medical device R&D preferred Experience in innovation and regulated environments Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Strong engineering fundamentals and minimally invasive medical device design Prototyping and testing experience (CNC, 3D printing) Knowledge of FDA and ISO 13485 Strong problem-solving and communication CAD design in Solidworks Salary range: $120k - $135k About Us With a firm belief that every person and community should have access to the best possible care, Getinge provides hospitals and life science institutions with products and solutions aiming to improve clinical results and optimize workflows.
