Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current med surg/tele experience, charge experience, and minimum 3 months previous travel experience required.

License: Vermont RN License or Compact

Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS

Must-Have:

• Charge experience is required.
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience is strongly required.
• Drip experience is required, specifically with insulin drips, esmolol drips, and sodium drips.
• ICU experience is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to float to any inpatient unit within the scope of practice.

Description: This is an adaptive acuity unit. On occasion, travelers will be asked to provide PCU care with a 3:1 ratio. This care is non-negotiable and may not be refused. Requests for time off during this assignment must be noted and verified prior to submission. Requests made after submission will not be approved. No more than 5 days of time off will be accepted, with fewer days being preferred. Travelers must ensure they can be reached and have voicemail set up on their phones. Travelers without voicemail set up when contacted will be redirected. Profile requirements include a work history, skills checklists for Progressive Care Unit, Medical Surgical, and Telemetry, each current within the last year. One supervisory signed reference from within the last two years of employment is required. This position requires every other weekend and holiday availability when needed.
