If dialing in offsets, crushing chatter, and turning complex prints into flawless parts is your thing, you’ll thrive here. We build mission‑critical components for aerospace, defense, energy, and industrial customers—and we’re looking for a CNC expert who owns the process from setup to steady production.
The Role- Set up CNC mills, lathes, and multi‑axis centers from drawing to first‑article sign‑off.
- Select tooling, workholding, and fixturing tailored to materials and geometry.
- Edit programs at the control to improve part quality, cycle efficiency, and tool life.
- Perform first article inspections; verify features using micrometers, bore/thread gauges, and CMMs.
- Run production, maintain tolerances, and make offset/tooling adjustments as needed.
- Read and apply engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot dimensional variation, surface finish, tool wear, and vibration.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts around quality, throughput, and capability.
- Coach newer operators to elevate team performance.
- 5+ years in CNC machining with setup and on‑machine program editing.
- Hands‑on time with CNC mills, lathes, or multi‑axis platforms.
- Comfortable interpreting prints and GD&T.
- Expertise in tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and workholding tactics.
- Measurement proficiency: micrometers, bore/thread gauges, CMMs.
- Machining of aluminum, stainless, titanium, Inconel, and other advanced alloys.
- Self‑directed, quality‑driven troubleshooter.
- 5‑axis or mill‑turn background.
- Exposure to CAM (Mastercam, Fusion 360, Hypermill, etc.).
- Aerospace/defense or other ultra‑precise manufacturing experience.
- Experience with automation or lights‑out machining.
- Challenging, non‑repetitive work on complex, high‑tolerance parts.
