Pediatric Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is for a Pediatric Float Pool Registered Nurse, responsible for providing high-quality patient care across various pediatric units. The role involves floating to different areas including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in diverse clinical settings.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure superior patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in both PICU and NICU environments.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, including floating protocols.

Shift Details:

Night shift available, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed. The standard commitment includes working every other weekend and every other holiday.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required.
• Experience in both NICU and PICU is essential.
• Certification in BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS is required.
• Pediatric PACU experience is highly preferred.
• Completion of Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required, but candidates may submit while pending certification.
• Epic experience is mandatory.
• Must be compliant with float policies.
• A Virginia nursing license is required, but candidates may apply with a pending license.
