Job Description

The landscaper will ensure that all grounds and grounds maintenance equipment meet company standards. The landscaper will maintain the park grounds and ensure all lawncare is completed in a timely and efficient manner. To apply for this position, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are not 18, please apply for AquaTech or Maintenance Technician.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the installation of new lawns, plants, trees, flowers, and shrubs as needed
• Perform and manage tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, and grounds clean up.
• Safely operate landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, weed trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.
• Remove debris and other materials from pathways, driveways, etc.
• Adhere to all company related safety regulations and policies to maintain a safe work environment
• Perform other landscaping-related duties as directed by the Maintenance supervisor or director
• Perform tasks such as fertilization, application of pesticides and herbicides as needed
• Perform all other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Professional Certification

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid current driver?s license
• At least 18 years of age

Experience

• Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred

Specialized Knowledge

• Knowledge of rules and regulations surrounding grounds maintenance
• Knowledge of general landscaping and landscaping materials and tools

Skills

• Basic mechanical aptitude of landscaping tools

Abilities

• Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members in verbal and written form
• Ability to work independently
• Follow and enforce all waterpark standards

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to wet and or humid conditions; outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
