Job Title
Basic Qualifications
1. Ability to follow instructions.
2. On-the-job training is applicable.
3. Must be capable of bending, and stooping.
4. Lifting/moving 25+ lbs.
5. Must be courteous to public and county employees. Safe guard cleaner areas to prevent slips, trips and falls.
6. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OCCASIONAL WEEKENDS AND AFTER HOURS. Normal hours are 5am to 2pm, but occasionally work to 5pm when needed.
7. Considerable experience in custodial work. Safe handling and labeling of cleaning products.
8. Must be knowledgeable in process of stripping, waxing, and burnishing floors (knowledge of Terrazzo and Fritz tile a plus.
Examples of Job Duties
1. Work with crews sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and polishing assigned areas and floors. Dust and polish furniture. Empty wastebaskets and vacuums floors.
2. Replaces burned out light bulbs and keep restrooms clean and sanitary.
3. Performs other related duties as assigned.
4. Have good communication skills and maintain professionalism with employees and courthouse visitors.
