Why This Role Matters The Workforce Education Data Systems (WEDS) office is seeking an individual to serve in a full-time position as a Systems Project Consultant. As a Systems Project Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the data systems that drive statewide workforce education reporting, analysis, and decision-making. Your work will directly support educators, institutions, policymakers, and partner agencies across Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of data, technology, and public service, with meaningful projects that evolve over time.

Duties & Responsibilities: In this position the incumbent will:

• Maintain, support, and enhance application and databases.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries and leverage SAS programming for data analysis, data collection, and reporting.
• Analyze and validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Design and improve database structures, procedures, and workflows.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and district-level partners.

Minimum Qualifications: Required Licensure/Registration/Certification/Experience or Education:

• Experience in developing and implementing large scale database systems.
• Two years of work experience working with SAS Programming/SAS Enterprise Guide, or other programming languages, to create, maintain or modify complex programs.
• Knowledge of database management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to communicate effectively including verbal and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications: Preferences will be given to:

• A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, statistics, or mathematics.
