Team Lead

Team Lead – Part‑Time, Operations CircusTrix (Defy) is a leader in active indoor entertainment, creating unforgettable birthday, team, and school party experiences across the country. As a Team Lead, you will rotate through key operational areas – Sales & Service, Parties & Events, and Food & Beverage / Facilities – gaining hands‑on leadership experience and managing shifts as Manager on Duty when senior leaders are unavailable. Your role is to set the tone on the floor, guide team members, and ensure the park runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations: Act as Manager on Duty, enforce safety policies, deliver timely communication of guest issues, and maintain operational excellence across all departments. Guest Experience & Sales: Drive membership and program sales by engaging guests, identifying opportunities, and mentoring Team Members in customer engagement. Safety & Compliance: Enforce all safety policies, complete incident reports, complete opening/closing procedures, and keep the park clean and operational. Sales & Service Lead: Manage front‑desk performance and membership sales, coach team members to maximize conversions, and ensure consistent guest satisfaction. Parties & Events Lead: Oversee execution of birthday parties, group events, and corporate outings; manage scheduling, staffing, and upsell opportunities. F&B & Facilities Lead: Manage inventory and ordering of all café items, maintain health and safety standards, oversee equipment and park cleanliness, and lead facilities projects. Part‑time Flex Lead (weekends): Cover breaks and times off for other Leads, rotating as needed. What You Bring to the Team At least 18 years of age. Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in operations or guest‑facing roles, ideally in a fast‑paced environment. Prior supervisory or leadership experience. Background in retail sales, food & beverage, amusement/entertainment, or recreation preferred. Basic proficiency with technology, including POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite & Teams. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Reliable, self‑motivated, organized, and eager to grow into higher responsibilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to motivate, coach, and positively influence others. Curiosity about how daily operations connect to the bigger picture. A hands‑on, team‑first mindset and strong sense of personal ownership. Sound judgment and ability to stay respectful, calm, and coachable in high‑pressure moments. Physical ability to lift and carry a minimum of 20 pounds as needed. Compensation & Benefits Compensation range is $12–$14 per hour based on qualifications, experience, and performance.
