About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:00 - 14:30) Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Required Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST Must-Have: - Experience with decontamination processes for various medical instruments. - Knowledge of sterilization processes (both Sterrad and steam). - Experience with high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing. - Familiarity with Censitrac tracking system. Description: We are seeking candidates who are experienced in all areas of sterile processing. This includes the decontamination of all items such as drills, scopes, and surgical instruments. Candidates will be responsible for the assembly of all instruments across service lines, including trauma and loaners. Experience with the sterilization process is critical, including both Sterrad and steam methods. High-level disinfection experience is required. Candidates should also have sterile storage and operating room liaison experience. Experience with Censitrac tracking systems is necessary. Candidates should be comfortable with scheduling rotating weekends and occasional holidays. This position serves a vital role in ensuring the safety and sterility of medical supplies and instruments used in procedures. The candidate will work to prepare, sterilize, install, assemble, and clean all equipment required for surgeries and medical procedures. Additionally, the position will liaise between the operating rooms and sterile processing sites to track sterilized instrumentation. Candidates must be organized and responsible for ensuring the correct functioning and packaging of medical supplies. This role will require flexibility as it may involve working across multiple sites and locations. A self-motivated attitude and attention to detail are crucial for success in this position.
