Nurse - care - night - nursing

Position Overview The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across settings and the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The RN works within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, handling planning, implementation, evaluation, and communication of all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. Responsibilities Coordinate nursing care across practice settings and the continuum of care. Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership activities, and quality improvement initiatives. Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource adequacy. Mentor and teach staff; participate on committees or projects. Drive personal vehicle when required. Qualifications Graduate of a nursing program. Current RN license in the applicable state. Current Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross). Additional state licensure(s) or specialty certification/training required for the work area. One year RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on‑call periods. Adaptability to unpredictable situations within the work setting. Applicants must provide documented evidence of program completion as specified by the start date requirements. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Compensation & Benefits Pay: $43.84 – $66.84 per hour. Benefits eligible: medical, dental, vision, pre‑tax savings, and retirement. Schedule Part‑time – 48 hours per pay period. 12‑hour days/night shifts; every 3rd weekend/holiday.
