Academic Services Officer II - College of Nursing Wayne State University is searching for an experienced AcademicServices Officer II - College of Nursing at its Detroit campuslocation. Essential functions (job duties): Provide academic advising and support to College of Nursingundergraduate and graduate students. Manage an assigned advisingcaseload/population, which may change based on enrollment,staffing, and College needs. Provide proactive and intrusive advising through individual andgroup advising, outreach, and ongoing engagement. Adviseprospective and current students on admission and degreerequirements, academic policies, progression, graduation, andcertification. Monitor academic progress, identify and engage at-risk or off-trackstudents, coordinate interventions, and connect students withappropriate College and University resources. Maintain accurateadvising records, plans of work, tracking systems, and caseloaddata to support retention, progression, graduation, and enrollmentforecasting. Support admission processing, including application and transcriptreview, verification of requirements, admission decisions,applicant communication, and new student orientation. Participate in recruitment and outreach activities, includinginformation sessions, open houses, college fairs, and communityevents. Recruitment may require travel and work outside regularbusiness hours, including evenings and weekends. Support College enrollment, retention, scholarship, and studentsuccess initiatives and assigned projects. Collaborate with Officeof Student Affairs leadership, faculty, program directors, andUniversity partners to support student success and degreecompletion. Collect, track, and report student and enrollment data and providedata support to College leadership and program directors asrequired. Serve on College and University committees and supportinstitutional priorities. Work independently with minimalsupervision and maintain flexibility as assigned programs,populations, caseloads, and responsibilities change based onCollege needs. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Master's degree required in Counseling, Education or relatedfield. Previous work experience in higher education preferred Demonstrated excellence in written, oral and interpersonal, andcommunication skills. Demonstrated excellence in time management and organizationalskills. Experience with academic advising, mentoring, and establishingrapport with students.
