Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Cardiac Cath Lab to lead operations at Morristown Medical Center. This is an opportunity to manage a high-volume cardiovascular program with advanced interventional cardiology, structural heart, cardiogenic shock, and electrophysiology services.

The department is expanding from 5 Cardiac Cath Labs and 4 EP Labs to 7 Cardiac Cath Labs and 6 EP Labs to support increasing patient volumes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee daily operations of the Cardiac Cath and EP Labs.
• Ensure efficient workflow, patient throughput, safety, and quality of care.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of Cath/EP staff.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and multidisciplinary departments.
• Manage operating and capital budgets and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Develop and monitor quality improvement initiatives, clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and staff engagement.
• Use data, benchmarking, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with hospital leadership on strategic planning and cardiovascular service-line growth.
• Support the regional cardiogenic shock and structural heart programs .
• Support the expansion and integration of additional procedure rooms.
• Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, policies, and safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of management experience .
• Minimum 5 years of Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab experience .
• At least 2 years of leadership experience in a Cath/EP Lab setting.
• Experience managing a high-volume Cardiac Cath Lab .
• Experience managing 4–5+ labs preferred/required based on client needs.
• Experience within a complex medical center or teaching institution .
• Experience leading Cardiac Cath Labs and Structural Heart programs strongly preferred.
• Critical Care / High-Risk experience required.
• Strong knowledge of interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures, equipment, and protocols.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex operations.
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience driving process improvement and clinical quality in high-volume cardiovascular settings.

Education:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Preferred:

• Master's degree.

Required Licensure & Certifications:

• Current NJ Registered Nurse (RN) license .
• BLS certification .
• Supplier must hold a valid NJ Division of Consumer Affairs license . This is mandatory and non-negotiable . A copy of the supplier license will be required if the candidate is selected.
