Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Flex Pool)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week following initial orientation week

Key Responsibilities

• Float between various medical and surgical units including the Medical Unit, Laulima (Surgical Acute) Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit
• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with unit-specific nurse-to-patient ratios (Medical: 1:6 days/evenings, 1:8 nights; Laulima: 1:6; Cardiovascular: 1:4; ratios may vary)
• Operate unit equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
• Adhere to professional nursing attire standards (clean scrubs) and facility dress code policies
• Complete unit-specific orientation and training for each assigned department
• Maintain documented proof of immunity — medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented immunity

Required Qualifications

• Active State of Hawaii RN License required by start of assignment — candidates not currently holding an active HI license must apply for licensure upon acceptance of offer
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification
• Procedural Sedation certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
