Special Education Aide

Grand Canyon Unified School District is looking for qualified educators to work with students that receive special education services. Tasks: Assists teachers in leading learning activities, as assigned; leads learning activities in absence of teacher; assists students with reading, math, and assessments; prepares teaching materials developed by teachers. Monitors and assists students during arrival and departure of buses; monitors students in lunch lines and during lunch period and returns students to classrooms in a timely manner; monitors students on field trips and other activities outside of classroom; monitors and disciplines students during recess according to policy; assists students to nurse's office in the event of illness or injury. Working with students and teachers for the betterment of the student. Qualifications: Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card or the ability to obtain one. Under general supervision, perform duties related to assisting the instructional staff and students in various settings.
