Application Support & BI Analyst

Description Transform Healthcare Data into Meaningful Insights UCLA Health is seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Clinical Informatics Specialist 3 to support the development, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions. In this role, you will leverage clinical, financial, and operational data to create actionable insights that improve decision-making, patient care, and organizational performance. What You’ll Do Design, develop, test, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts using tools such as Epic Clarity, Caboodle, Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, and other analytics platforms. Partner with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver impactful data solutions. Analyze complex healthcare data and transform it into meaningful, actionable information. Maintain reporting data models, metrics, and metadata to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Support analytics application upgrades, process improvements, and ongoing operational reporting needs. Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for data, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. Salary Range Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $98,200 - $214,600 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary between the minimum and midpoint of this range. Qualifications REQUIRED At least 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare organization. Equivalent experience in a programming/analytic/information systems role, with an emphasis on SQL programming. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional judgment and discretion in interacting with physicians and senior management on sensitive political and confidential issues. Proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and other database management and business intelligence software. PREFERRED Knowledge of current issues in data management and SQL particularly in a healthcare environment including quality measurement, outcomes studies, healthcare finance, and patient safety.
