Pay Rate: The pay rate for this job is $21 - $25 / hour* What you'll be doing as a Fabricator / Welder : Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, or other welding processes as required Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, specifications, and work instructions Measure, mark, cut, bend, grind, drill, and prepare metal materials for fabrication and assembly Fit, align, and assemble metal components prior to welding Set up and operate welding equipment, selecting appropriate settings based on material type and thickness Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials according to production requirements Inspect completed welds and fabricated assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards, dimensions, and specifications Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, drills, plasma cutters, torches, ironworkers, and other shop tools Utilize measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, squares, levels, and gauges to ensure accuracy Perform grinding, finishing, deburring, and cleanup of welded and fabricated components Identify defects, troubleshoot fabrication issues, and perform repairs or rework as needed Follow production schedules and meet established productivity and quality expectations Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in safe and efficient operating condition Follow company safety policies and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) Collaborate with supervisors, welders, fabricators, and production personnel to complete projects efficiently Assist with material handling, inventory management, and other manufacturing duties as assigned Available shifts: Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day) Job requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady Previous welding and/or metal fabrication experience required; 1 to 3 years of experience is typically preferred Experience with MIG welding required; TIG and/or Stick welding experience may be preferred depending on production requirements Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and technical specifications Strong measuring and layout skills, including proficiency with tape measures and basic shop mathematics involving fractions, decimals, and geometry Ability to accurately measure, mark, and lay out materials prior to fabrication and assembly Hands‑on experience operating fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, drills, torches, plasma cutters, and other shop tools Knowledge of proper welding procedures, techniques, and basic weld‑quality standards Ability to identify weld defects, perform corrective actions, and ensure finished products meet quality requirements Ability to follow written work instructions, production documentation, and verbal directions from supervisors Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with fabrication and production teams Capable of safely lifting, carrying, and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks such as standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and working on feet for extended periods Understanding of workplace safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred Welding certification, vocational training, or technical‑school education in welding or fabrication is considered an asset but may be substituted with equivalent hands‑on experience Ready to take control of the way you work? *Hourly pay rates are a good‑faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
