Role Description The Senior Category Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Wichita, Kansas Metropolitan Area. This role oversees assigned product categories, including fuel and related retail offerings, to maximize sales, margin, and customer satisfaction. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing category performance, managing pricing and promotions, and developing assortment strategies aligned with company goals. The Senior Category Manager collaborates with vendors on contracts and cost negotiations, coordinates with operations and marketing on in-store execution, and monitors market trends and customer insights to identify growth opportunities. This role also prepares regular reporting, leads cross-functional projects, and supports continuous improvement in category management processes and tools.\n

• Demonstrated skills in category management, merchandising, and product assortment planning.

• Experience with pricing strategy, margin optimization, and promotional planning.

• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and reporting tools.

• Vendor and supplier management skills, including negotiation, contract management, and relationship building.
\n
• Knowledge of retail, convenience, or fuel industry operations and customer behavior.
\n
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
\n
• Ability to lead projects, manage multiple priorities, and make data-informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field; relevant advanced degree or certifications in category management or retail analytics are a plus.

• Prior experience in a senior category management or similar role, preferably in retail or fuel services.
