Salesforce Solution Architect, Commerce (B2B) [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Salesforce Solution Architect, Commerce (B2B) based in United States.

This remote role is responsible for designing and delivering scalable Salesforce solutions for complex B2B Commerce and Revenue Management initiatives. The position combines business process discovery, enterprise architecture, technical design, and delivery oversight across the Salesforce ecosystem. You will translate customer requirements into secure, efficient, and maintainable solutions while guiding development teams throughout implementation. The role works across Commerce, Service Cloud, Order Management, Consumer Goods Cloud, and related Salesforce capabilities. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders and internal teams, helping ensure quality from discovery through post-go-live optimization. The environment is collaborative and innovation-focused, with opportunities to work alongside Salesforce, AI, and technology specialists. Travel of up to 25% may be required for customer engagements and internal events.

Accountabilities:

• Lead business process discovery sessions and translate customer objectives into scalable, enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions aligned with business requirements and platform best practices.
• Own or contribute to end-to-end solution architecture across Salesforce platforms, including B2B Commerce, Service Cloud, Order Management, and Consumer Goods Cloud.
• Define and govern solution designs covering data models, integrations, system architecture, customizations, and cross-cloud use cases.
• Provide architectural oversight throughout the complete delivery lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
• Drive UX and solution design strategies that create intuitive, efficient, scalable, and effective user experiences.
• Act as a primary technical authority and strategic advisor for client stakeholders and internal delivery teams, ensuring business and technical priorities remain aligned.
• Translate functional and business requirements into technical approaches and guide development teams on implementation decisions.
• Lead technical design reviews and promote adherence to architectural standards, Salesforce best practices, and quality expectations.
• Own deployment and release strategies, including environment planning, risk mitigation, release governance, and rollback planning.
• Provide oversight of testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure functional and technical requirements are met.
• Define data architecture and modeling approaches supporting Salesforce customizations, integrations, reporting, and long-term scalability.
• Identify and proactively mitigate technical risks throughout delivery to support successful project outcomes.
• Collaborate across business, technical, delivery, and client teams to maintain clear communication and shared objectives.
• Support post-go-live optimization, scalability planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel up to 25% for customer engagements and internal events.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of Salesforce experience, including at least 3 years specializing in B2B Commerce across relevant Salesforce clouds such as Core, Sales, Service, Community, and Marketing Cloud.
• Understanding of B2B Commerce Einstein features and capabilities, the B2B Commerce Extensions framework, B2B Commerce APIs, and Connect APIs.
• Understanding of cross-cloud use cases spanning B2B, D2C, Loyalty, Revenue, and Marketing, as well as Salesforce Order Management.
• Familiarity with authentication patterns such as SAML, SSO, and OAuth.
• Foundational experience integrating Salesforce with third-party platforms such as NetSuite, Avalara, Stripe, DocuSign, SureTax, Chargent, or Dynamics 365.
• Experience with test-driven development and prior responsibility for executing Salesforce deployments using DevOps tools such as Gearset, Prodly, or Copado.
• Proficiency with Salesforce configuration, including objects, flows, Lightning components, and other platform customizations.
• Familiarity with Apex and OmniScript development.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and sales performance analytics.
• Experience creating technical artifacts such as Salesforce configuration design documents and technical design documents.
• Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with varied technical and business audiences.
• Confident, collaborative, ambitious, and results-oriented approach, with strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to rapidly learn and apply new concepts, business models, technologies, and technical approaches.
