Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to PCU patients, ensuring safety and comfort.

• Monitor patient conditions, document progress, and report changes promptly to the care team.

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.

• Maintain accurate documentation for all patient encounters and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with safety, privacy, and regulatory standards at all times.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless care transitions.

• Prioritize and manage a clear pipeline of patient care tasks and discharge planning.

• Assist with triage and prioritization of patient needs in a fast-paced PCU setting.

• Engage in continuous professional development and pursue growth opportunities within the role.

• Demonstrate accountability for personal performance and contribute to team targets.

• Participate in on-site quality improvement and workflow optimization initiatives.

Experience/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of practice and current CPR certification.

• Minimum 1–2 years PCU or step-down experience preferred.

• Ability to administer medications and manage treatments per orders with safety checks.

• Strong patient safety, privacy (HIPAA), and regulatory compliance adherence.

• Proficient in patient assessment, documentation, and charting per hospital protocols.

• Excellent triage, prioritization, and rapid decision-making in a fast-paced PCU.
