Assistant Buyer
$17 - $21 per hourThe HT Group
The HT Group is seeking an Assistant Buyer for our client in Beaumont. As an Assistant Buyer, you will support the purchasing team with inventory management, purchase orders, vendor communications, and product maintenance.
This is a contract opportunity with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $17–$21hr DOE. Responsibilities:
- Review suggested order reports and create purchase orders
- Track and maintain purchase orders and vendor confirmations
- Submit SKU setup and maintenance requests
- Communicate with vendors regarding orders, pricing, and product availability
- Support buyers during vendor meetings as needed
- Assist warehouses with receiving and order-related issues
- Create inter-store transfers and special orders
- Follow up on outstanding orders and resolve vendor issues
- Attend department meetings and provide administrative support to the buying team
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 1 year of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or related experience
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Computer proficient and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to use computers and other office equipment for extended periods.
