Platform Supervisor

Summary/Objective

The Platform Supervisor will be responsible for providing team leadership and management to attain safety, quality, delivery, cost, and talent building objectives for the MAU associates supporting the BCC Platform at Kimberly-Clark, Beech Island, South Carolina.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours are rotating 13-hour shifts.

Essential Functions

• Customer Expectations:
  • Provide supervision of the MAU staff assigned to specific assets on rotating shift operation.
  • Flow to work scheduling based on production.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert with processes and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that processes are completed to SQDC standards.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws.
  • Management of multiple raw materials that have critical process variables that must be controlled.
• Talent Management
  • Provide leadership to Associates within the Platform as well as across the Mill.
  • Sustain and support Leader Standard Work for MAU CTEC.
  • Assist with conflict resolution between employees and the customer as well as between employees.
  • Provide coaching, training and mentoring to all MAU employees and within CTEC.
• Crisis Management
  • Perform on shift CTEC safety issues, injuries, property damage, and personnel incident reporting.
  • Maintain security compliance.
  • Issue post-accident reports and drug screens.
• Operational Management
  • Supervise the CTEC Platform with Safety as priority number one.
  • Ensure profitability of the CTEC Platform by controlling costs and managing the workforce to best meet the customer's needs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to help gain operational excellence and reduce costs.
  • Provide outstanding CTEC Customer Service.
  • Investigate material damage and material shortage.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, dress code, and MAU policies.
  • Update communication boards and address issues that are "Red."
  • Perform employee attendance counseling.
  • Maintain payroll/KRONOS.
  • Participate actively in Simple Problem solving.
• Other Duties:
  • Serve as key resource during daily KC CTEC meetings.
  • Perform any special customer requests.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years applicable experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• Lean Greenbelt
• Root cause analysis training

Supervisory Responsibility

Direct the activity of shift supervision and 15 to 30 hourly employees in CTEC platform

Work Environment or Working Conditions

The working conditions and environments that are created by our customer's facilities both in administrative areas and manufacturing environments. Working conditions will typically be manufacturing or warehouse settings that may include process manufacturing equipment and heavy power industrial vehicles. Environments may vary from non-air conditioned (hot/cold) environments to GMP clean room required.

Physical Demands

This position may require the following to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Must be able to walk up to 6 miles daily
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.

Travel

Occasional travel may be needed but limited to less than 25 miles per month
