Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infection Prevention Nurse for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in monitoring, preventing, and controlling infections while supporting patient safety initiatives and regulatory compliance throughout the healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs.
• Conduct surveillance and tracking of healthcare-associated infections.
• Analyze infection data and identify trends to support quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate staff on infection prevention policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Conduct audits and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient safety outcomes.
• Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare required reports.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility infection prevention regulations.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• Infection Prevention or Infection Control experience preferred.
• CIC (Certification in Infection Control) preferred but not required.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of infection surveillance, prevention practices, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to educate and lead clinical staff initiatives.
