Registered Nurse – PACU / Preop

Contract | Day Shift | Multiple start times between 0530–1300 | 10–12 hour shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and post-anesthesia care across Preop, PACU Phase 1, and PACU Phase 2, with the expectation of rotating between all phases as needed
• Support Surgical and Endoscopy Preop and Recovery areas on a daily basis
• Prepare patients for surgery, manage post-anesthesia recovery, oversee airway management, and provide pain management
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips, identifying rhythm changes and life-threatening arrhythmias
• Assist with unit restocking and patient turnover between cases
• Participate in call rotation including weeknights, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of Preop and PACU experience (both required)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Ability to rotate between Preop, PACU Phase 1, and PACU Phase 2
• Willingness to support Endoscopy recovery care (endoscopy procedure experience not required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with a variety of surgical case types including General, Breast, Ortho, Urology, and OBGYN
• Comfort working in a small, flexible unit environment with cross-functional responsibilities
• First-time travelers welcome
