Paramedic - Emergency Department

Job Overview Day (United States of America) Paramedic – Emergency Department. The certified paramedic, under the direction of the Medical Director of Emergency Services, will provide patient care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Responsibilities Deliver patient care in accordance with the organization’s standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines. Demonstrate friendliness and courtesy and effective communication, creating a professional environment. Promote a culture of safety by adhering to policies, procedures, and plans that prevent workplace injury, violence, or adverse outcomes. Provide relationship‑based care, keeping the patient and family at the center of care throughout their experience. Qualifications High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred. Approved courses in basic patient care skills, EKG, and phlebotomy required. Current Paramedic Certification in the State of Florida. Basic Life Support Provider certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider certification required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider certification required. Previous patient care experience and/or technical education in a health‑related field preferred. Meets population‑specific and all other competencies according to the department.
