Make a real difference in a student’s life by providing one-on-one support in an educational setting. This contract opportunity allows you to guide a 4th-grade female student who benefits greatly from consistent structure, clear boundaries, and a confident, encouraging presence. Choose between a part-time schedule (Monday through Wednesday) or full-time hours (Monday through Friday with some travel between sites). The position is set for the upcoming academic year.

Preferred candidates are detail-oriented, assertive, and committed to cultivating independence in students while maintaining a supportive environment. You will work closely with both the student and school professionals to implement strategies that address behavioral needs and enhance learning.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; Paraeducator certificate, Associate degree, or Praxis assessment preferred
• Demonstrated experience providing one-on-one support to students
• Strong background in behavior management and setting boundaries
• Ability to maintain a calm, authoritative presence with children
• Clear, confident communication and collaboration skills
• Experience supporting diverse learning needs in school settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Work daily with an assigned 4th-grade student, offering academic and behavioral support
• Apply individualized behavior plans and reinforce expectations
• Foster independence while offering guidance and redirection as needed
• Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding student progress
• Document and report on student activities, achievements, and challenges
• Travel between two sites if full-time schedule is chosen
