Role Description The Director role at EdgeConneX is a full-time, on-site position based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This role is responsible for overseeing data center operations, including facility performance, service delivery, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. The Director will lead and develop cross-functional teams, manage vendor and partner relationships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes. Daily activities include monitoring key performance indicators, managing budgets, coordinating maintenance and infrastructure upgrades, and collaborating with senior leadership on strategic planning. The Director will also support customer engagement by addressing operational needs, ensuring service level commitments, and contributing to long-term capacity and growth planning in the region. Qualifications Experience in data center operations, facilities management, or infrastructure services, with a strong understanding of power, cooling, and network environments. Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management, performance coaching, and the ability to build collaborative, inclusive working relationships. Background in project management, budgeting, and vendor coordination, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and timelines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience using metrics and KPIs to guide decision‑making and operational improvements. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, partners, and senior leadership. Familiarity with compliance, safety, and regulatory standards related to data centers or mission‑critical facilities. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, data center or facilities certifications) are a plus.
