Occupational Therapist PRN-Acute North

Physical / Occupational Therapy / Rehab Therapy Department: Inpatient Rehab Therapy Schedule: Facility, Day Job – 8:00am to 4:30pm; 16 patient care hours per month, including one weekend day and one holiday each year. Responsibilities The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and provides therapy for the disabled patient. This role also establishes and maintains a safe environment conducive to effective team functioning, positive patient outcomes, and personal safety. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited OT program is required. Must have a valid Indiana Occupational Therapist license or temporary permit. Previous experience in an Acute Care hospital setting working with adults preferred. Knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, theoretical concepts and techniques, current materials and technological advances, and new professional trends. Provides quality service to impaired individuals and communicates effectively with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and all internal/external customers. Able to incorporate a basic understanding of the behavioral, developmental, physical, emotional, and comfort needs of children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
