CDL Driver

Responsibilities

A CDL Driver is responsible for safely transporting guests and equipment to and from the river or aerial locations.

Expectations

A CDL Driver is accountable for providing a safe and exceptional guest experience during each and every trip they are involved in.

Duties

· Transport guests and guides to/from various onsite and off-site locations.

· Safely maneuver 40-55 passenger buses over steep, narrow, paved, and gravel roads.

· Perform air brake safety tests as needed.

· Provide top notch guest service before, during, and after every trip. Including answering questions the guests may have.

· Perform daily, pre-trip, and post trip inspections. All inspections are to be documented with any issues being reported to management.

· Load and unload drink coolers.

· In some cases, load, unload, and secure rafts, kayaks, or other equipment on buses and trailers

Qualifications

REQUIRED

· Valid Class B or higher CDL with air brake and passenger endorsement

· Current Medical Certificate or ability to obtain.

· Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and adapt to changes in the work environment.

· Ability to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with others.

PREFERRED

· First Aid and CPR certifications

· Working knowledge of the outdoor recreation industry

· Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills

A CDL driver is required to work weekends and other irregular hours as deemed necessary. Flexibility in work schedule is required in order to accommodate rapidly changing trip schedules.
