Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily operational activities for a growing technology integration organization. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, managing project execution teams, optimizing resources, and ensuring the successful delivery of low-voltage systems projects with a strong focus on fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience within the low-voltage industry, including fire alarm, security, access control, video surveillance, and communications systems. This individual will provide leadership to field operations, project management, and service teams while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Lead and manage day-to-day operations for installation, service, and project execution teams. Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for low-voltage and fire alarm projects from planning through completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and customer expectations. Develop and maintain operational processes that improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Collaborate with sales, engineering, project management, and service departments to ensure seamless project execution. Monitor workforce utilization, staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation. Drive accountability through performance metrics, operational reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA, OSHA, and local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements. Support project teams with technical guidance related to fire alarm and low-voltage systems. Foster strong customer relationships and assist in resolving escalated operational and project issues. Participate in forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities. Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing operational team members. Promote and maintain a culture centered on safety, quality, teamwork, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered. Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience within the low-voltage systems industry. Demonstrated experience managing fire alarm installation, service, and inspection operations. Strong working knowledge of fire alarm systems, life safety systems, access control, video surveillance, structured cabling, and related technologies. Understanding of NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices. Proven experience leading multiple teams and managing operational performance across multiple projects. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor utilization, and operational metrics. Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and with customers. Proficiency with project management, ERP, and Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Experience with union and non-union workforce environments. Experience managing operations across multiple locations or business units. Industry certifications related to fire alarm, security, or project management.
