Electronics Hardware Engineer Co-Op

Schneider Electric has a new opportunity for a n ElectronicsHardware Engineer Co-Op , to join our team in January 202 7 , based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa . This individual will be able to gain hands-on experience utilizing knowledge of electronics design and simulation to analyze design solutions and ensure electronics resiliency . They will work to evaluate and test product design solutions in a lab environment, supported and m entor ed by senior engineers with an abundance of experience.

Duration: 6 months, January 2027-July 2027

What will you do?

• Assist in the d esign, develop, test, and validate electronic hardware solutions for power distribution and circuit protection products . As well as support electronic products resiliency with design updates, component substitution and cost optimizations.
• M odification of schematics, layout and other design documents.
• Help with prototype builds for testing.
• Write and implement test plans , including test instructions and acceptance criteria.
• Interpret test results and other data.
• Conduct root cause analysis for electronic hardware systems.
• Participate in design reviews.
• Present project summaries to internal experts .

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Working towards a B achelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field.
• Understanding of electronic circuits and circuit design with courses similar to: electronic circuits, circuit analysis, electromagnetism, signal analysis.
• Ability to discuss a project you have worked on and articulate r esponsibilities and role.
• Basic abiliti es with SPICE tools, PCB design suites and MS365 .
• Interest i n electronics lab equipmen t, oscilloscopes , power supply, signal generators, etc. E xperience is a plus.
• E ffective written and oral communication skills .
• Ability to work full-time based in Cedar Rapids, for 6-months starting January 2026

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD $23.00-$35.50 per hour. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
