CDL DriverOdessa/Midland - Midland, TX 79706Job DescriptionJob title - Warehouse Associate/DriverReports to - Warehouse ManagerClassification - Non-ExemptSchedule - Monday – Friday, 40 hours a weekSummary/ObjectiveThe Warehouse/Driver position is responsible for basic warehouse duties (pulling, checking, stocking inventory, and operating a forklift) and will make deliveries as well to new and existing customers within the electrical product markets of Wholesale Electric Supply's products and services.Essential FunctionsMaking product deliveries to new and existing customersInspecting truck equipment and supplies routinely to ensure safe operationPulling orders and verifying loads against shipping papersObtaining signed receipts for delivered materialStocking inventory in the warehousePerforming responsibilities of material handlers when not engaged in drivingPerforming additional assignments as needed by the supervisorCompetenciesBasic computer skillsAdvanced driving skills (clean driving record required)Experience driving pick-up trucks (Ford F-450) with no gooseneck trailer as well as Line-8Knowledge of DOT regulationsKnowledge of safe and proper loading proceduresGood customer/client relationsOrganizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills under high-pressure situationsCapability to work independentlyAbility to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipmentCollaboration skillsEthical conductSupervisory ResponsibilityThe Warehouse/Driver position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.Working conditionsWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a warehouse setting. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallets, computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the warehouse, or moderately loud when in the field.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm. The employee must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional overtime work may be required as job duties demand.TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceClean driving record requiredHigh school diploma requiredCDL License – Class AMinimum 2 years of driving delivery experience requiredMinimum 2 years of warehouse distribution experience required
