Training Specialist - Intermediate

Responsibilities Under general supervision, responsible for administering, organizing and conducting training/educational programs in connection with management and promotional development, on-the-job training, and employee orientation. Provides administrative and educational expertise in conducting training and educational programs. May design and develop in-house programs. Assists with technical aspects of educational activities by maintaining database and documenting session logistics and technical requirements. Maintains record of training activities and employee progress, and monitors effectiveness of programs. Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization. Develops training materials, to include checklists and guides. Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting. Knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles. Knowledge of learning management software. Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques. Familiarity with talent management and succession planning. Sound decision-making and organizational skills. Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences. Proficiency in MS Office and database software.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree degree in Education, Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field is required. Will accept experience in lieu of degree.PREFERRED:
