Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Full Time

An exciting permanent opportunity has opened for an Ultrasound Technologist (also known as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) with a hospital in John Day, OR, where you will operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images used by physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• National certification in specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
• Experience preferred; hiring focus is on candidate fit and ability to work in a rural hospital setting.
• BLS Certification.
• Comfort working in a small, rural community and ability to function with limited nearby urban resources.
• Willingness to participate in on-site collaboration with Radiologists and physicians.

Position Details:

• Participate with Radiologist and/or physician by contributing technical and professional knowledge.
• Operate specialized ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Follow established exam protocols as necessary.
• Review pathology, surgical, and delivery reports, as appropriate, to follow patient progress and assess diagnostic accuracy.
• Use professional judgment in performing and documenting studies.
• Work schedule: Days, Monday through Friday.
