Job Summary The Loan Operations Manager is responsible for effectively supporting the lending team for commercial, consumer, and mortgage loans across all branches. This individual will develop, document, and implement best practices in the loan operations area; be a proactive leader and team player with the ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships across the organization and will act as liaison with other branches, departments, and vendors. Supervisory Responsibilities Lead and manage three Loan Operations staff. Develop, motivate, and train staff, including planning and delegating work assignments and projects. Evaluate performance, administer quarterly touch points and deliver performance evaluations. Establish clear expectations and hold employees accountable to performance and behaviors aligned with our culture. Job Duties & Responsibilities Loan Operations Manage the daily operations of the department in an efficient and innovative manner. Establish and maintain a productive and positive working environment. Achieve and refine departmental goals within defined timelines. Lead projects including documentation project (scanning and organizing loan documentation to meet company electronic file policies). Interact with the lending staff(s) to maintain and improve both accuracy and efficiency through collaborative leadership. Perform ongoing training, review and communicate lending industry topics/concerns and standards. Implement operation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and internal requirements. Communicate with management team to coordinate system and control activities related to loan documentation and monitoring. Interact with auditors, compliance, and examiners to assist in reviews and examinations. Follow up and correct any items addressed and ensure necessary changes or recommendations have been implemented as directed. Become proficient with computer systems used to maximize their use to meet bank objectives. This includes monitoring new releases of software and the effects of potential changes. Define, document, and monitor best practice processes for: Payoff statements Insurances compliance including Flood and force placed insurance procedures HMDA compliance including quarterly review UCC, judgement, and tax lien searches Non-originated loan applications Escrow accounts Small Business Data Collection Quality Control Develop, coordinate, and implement quality control processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of loan files. Recommend process improvements to enhance loan quality and mitigate operational risk. Additional Duties & Responsibilities Support cross‑departmental functions. Lead special projects. Pull and compile 1099A & 1099C; PMI Delinquency Reporting. Complete Semi‑Annual Default and Foreclosure report. Complete Consumer Loan Turn Down Review. Back‑up for Credit Reporting. Update the Treasury Rate on LaserPro. Support HMDA. Attend sales/mortgage/consumer loan meetings. Oversee/manage Freddie Mac Recon and Pre/Post Close. Proven ability to manage individuals at various levels within the organization. Understanding of government regulations and legal requirements involving lending, collections, insurance, and related functions. Ability to operate standard office and bank equipment and required software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Some related college background preferred. 7+ years of banking experience preferred. 3+ years of supervisory and leadership experience and relevant loan operations management experience preferred. Knowledge and experience utilizing computer systems. MS Office Suite, Factual Data, LaserPro and Fiserv/Navigator experience preferred. Basic ability to analyze personal and business financial statements and commercial lending documentation. Pay Range $58,900 - $70,500 annually Compensation Overview The anticipated hiring range for this position is $58,900 - $70,500 annually, which reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for candidates who meet the standard qualifications for the role. Actual base pay will vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, credentials, experience, and location. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for up to 8 hours a day. Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
