Responsibilities Preforms analyses on biological specimens, e.g., blood and urine, to aid health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Participates in operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities. Qualifications 2‑year commitment to this position is required. Medical Technology (MT) or Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) or Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) – Baccalaureate degree in one of these areas. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree plus a certificate in MLS, CLS, MT as recognized by NAACLS, or an HEW certificate may substitute for the specified degree. Associate’s degree from an accredited MLT program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory‑training program is required for MLT. Skills Experience working in a medical field. Moderate to advanced computer skills. Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to prioritize work, manage time efficiently, and adjust to changing work volumes and projects. Preferred: Phlebotomy. Willingness to travel to other MCHS locations for assignments as needed. Evaluation must be completed from a credentialing organization that is a member of NACES or AICE. Exemption Status Nonexempt Compensation Detail Education, experience, and tenure may be considered with internal equity when offers are extended. Pay ranges: $31.79 – $47.71 per hour for MT, and $26.52 – $39.32 per hour for MLT. Benefits Eligible Yes Schedule Full time, 80 hours per pay period. Mostly dayshift; start time determined by bench assignment. Will be in pool to cover night tech. Every 3rd weekend is night shift (Friday/Saturday). No international assignment.
