Patient Registrar

Job Title: Patient Registrar

Location: Flushing, NY 11355

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Onsite

Contract Duration: 13 week with a strong possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients, visitors, vendors, and staff while providing excellent customer service
• Register and check in patients accurately within the EHR system
• Verify demographic, insurance, and billing information during registration
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments according to practice guidelines
• Answer incoming phone calls, address patient inquiries, take messages, and route calls appropriately
• Collect copays and other patient payments via cash, check, or credit card procedures
• Verify insurance coverage, referrals, authorizations, and Medicaid eligibility as needed
• Manage appointment task lists and follow up on cancelled or missed appointments
• Provide clerical support including data entry, mail distribution, document preparation, and correspondence

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of prior administrative, patient registration, medical office, or healthcare customer service experience
• EPIC experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual
