Data EngineerSunnyvale, CA/Hoboken, NJ (open to relo candidates, just have to be able to relocate asap)9+ months ContractWork with the stakeholders to understand the business & reporting needsPropose, design and develop creative dashboard solutions that provides required insight, improve/automate processes.Build and maintain data pipelines and architecture specific to analytics.Build reports and dashboards.Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and implementation.Build and maintain complex dashboard reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.Influence and educate the team with your experience, idea and learning.Bachelor's Degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) and 6+ years of experienceExperience leveraging big data technologies such as Hive, Hadoop, PySparkExperience building and maintaining data pipelines and architecture.Experience with visualization tools for data reporting such as Tableau, LookerETL ExperienceRelational database modeling and implementation using SQLExcellent communication skills for collaborating with other teamsAppreciate productivity and care deeply about helping others work more effectively and efficientlyPreferred: Experience with Apache Kafka, databases
