Description

American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN with 3+ years of open heart surgery experience and on-call availability for a cardiovascular operating room assignment.

Details

Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting

Day shift schedule (4x8 hours), with shift start times of 6:30 AM or 9:30 AM

On-call required, averaging 3 days per week and 1-2 weekends per month

4 call team rotations: CV1 (1500-0630), CV2 (1500-2300), Peds (1500-0630 on Mon, Tues, Thurs), and Hybrid (1500-0630)

Weekend call covered by 2 teams: CV and Hybrid, typically Friday 1500 to Monday 0630

Epic EMR experience required

Block scheduling may be approved by manager, to be discussed during interview

Requirements

Active CA RN license required

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC)

Minimum 3 years of open heart surgery experience required

Pediatric CV and vascular hybrid experience preferred

Valid Nursys license verification uploaded within the last 2 weeks

2 supervisor references obtained within the past year

7-year work history verification required

Additional Information

Perform surgical nursing duties within the cardiovascular operating room

Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the local rate

Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler

Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract

Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract

Compliance documents due 10 days prior to start date

Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing

First-time travelers are not considered for this role
