Service Dispatcher Location: Indianapolis Metro Area Compensation: $20-$25 per hour, based on experience Schedule: Full-time, Monday-FridayA well-established mechanical contractor in the Indianapolis metro area is seeking a reliable and organized HVAC Dispatcher to support daily service operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating moving pieces, and understands the importance of strong communication between customers and field technicians.Position OverviewThe Service Dispatcher is responsible for managing technician schedules, coordinating service calls, and ensuring efficient daily operations. This position serves as the central point of communication between customers, technicians, and internal team members. Success in this role comes from staying organized, thinking quickly, and maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout the day.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and optimize daily schedules for service technicians to maximize efficiency and productivityDispatch technicians to service calls and adjust schedules in real time based on urgency and availabilityCoordinate incoming service requests and prioritize calls appropriatelyCommunicate clearly with customers regarding appointment timing, updates, and expectationsProvide technicians with accurate job details, directions, and updates throughout the dayMonitor job progress and ensure timely completion of scheduled workMaintain accurate records, notes, and job statuses within the dispatching systemSupport overall team operations and maintain strong communication across departmentsRequired QualificationsPrevious experience in dispatching, scheduling, or customer service within HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or a similar service-based industry preferredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at onceExcellent communication skills with both customers and field techniciansAbility to think quickly and problem-solve in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detail and accuracy in documentationProficiency with dispatching software, CRM systems, or scheduling platforms is a plusDependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently when neededCompensation and BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid holidays and PTO401(k) with company supportOngoing training and development
