Overview X-Ray Technologist – Radiology Location: Rochester, New York, United States Start date: 06/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours Weekly pay: $2,311–$2,410 per week Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment Setting: Hospital-based imaging services Note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and confirmed hours will be discussed during the hiring process. Responsibilities Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to performing radiographic procedures Operate radiographic equipment to capture diagnostic images per physician orders Explain procedures to patients and answer questions; provide patient care and comfort during imaging Position patients accurately; assist with mobility as needed Use imaging equipment safely and maintain radiation dose minimization for patient protection Verify patient information in electronic systems, ensure correct exam details, and send images to the PACS Adhere to dual patient identifier procedures and maintain accurate imaging records Notify management of any damaged or malfunctioning equipment Requirements Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology ARRT certification NYS license (or ability to obtain license prior to starting) 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience Level 1 trauma center experience OR experience with recent C-arm/O-arm usage (within the past 8 months) BLS certification (American Heart Association) Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication Patient-focused, compassionate disposition and ability to work well in a team Ability to report within 30 minutes to on-call shifts Education and Certifications Formal training from an accredited Radiologic Technology program ARRT certification NYS license or eligibility to obtain before start BLS certification Benefits and Support Assignment-specific support from a dedicated recruiter Travel coordination and credentialing assistance Ongoing support throughout the assignment #J-18808-Ljbffr
