We are seeking an experienced Conflicts Attorney to support firm-wide conflicts clearance, new business intake, and legal hire reviews. This role will work closely with attorneys, the General Counsel, and Deputy General Counsel to identify, analyze, and resolve potential legal, ethical, and business conflicts. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of professional responsibility rules, excellent legal research and analytical skills, and experience working with law firm conflicts and/or business intake processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze conflict reports related to new clients, matters, legal hires, and business initiatives.
• Independently identify potential conflicts of interest and determine appropriate resolution strategies.
• Conduct legal research on applicable professional responsibility rules, ethics opinions, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Communicate potential conflicts clearly to attorneys and assist with developing appropriate resolutions.
• Work directly with attorneys to investigate and resolve actual or potential conflicts.
• Provide guidance and oversight to Conflict Analysts on conflict research, analysis, and corporate family tree research.
• Assist with developing and delivering training for Conflict Analysts and attorneys.
• Support attorneys and Legal Practice Assistants in understanding conflicts and business intake policies and procedures.
• Assist with drafting engagement letters, conflict waivers, and related documentation.
• Request, review, and maintain documentation required to resolve conflicts.
• Prepare and implement ethical walls when required.
• Assist with the customization, enhancement, and implementation of conflicts, business intake, workflow, and ethical wall software.
• Monitor trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies affecting conflicts and legal business intake.
• Help establish and improve processes and protocols to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely conflict reviews.

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
• Active license to practice law in NJ, NY, DE, MD, TX, FL, or Washington, D.C.
• 3+ years of experience in law firm conflicts, new business intake, or a closely related function preferred.
• Strong understanding of legal ethics and professional responsibility rules.
• Experience with automated conflicts checking and/or workflow systems.
• Knowledge of Intapp conflicts, business intake, or ethical wall solutions preferred.
• Strong legal research, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with attorneys and professionals at all levels.
• Ability to remain professional and composed when handling challenging or time-sensitive situations.
