Dock Associate - Maspeth

The dock employee will be responsible for safely and efficiently maintaining the cylinder dock and assisting customers with their cylinder needs. The dock employee will load/unload cylinders, complete cylinder inspections, pull/pack customer orders and other duties/responsibilities as needed.

Job duties/ responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: Must understand the hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks Provides assistance with loading trucks and off-loading trucks in preparation for deliveries and transfers Ensures all required pre-fill/post-fill inspections valid and completed before cylinders are released to customers. Abides by a safe and compliant culture, correcting unsafe acts or conditions without delay. Inspect cylinders for defects/test date issues to ensure compliance with government/company policies Paint cylinders to adhere to Awisco's cylinder color code system. Perform other related duties as necessary Physical Demands and Work Environment · Continually required to bend, stoop, and kneel · Continually required to talk or hear · Frequently required to lift/push/carry items more than 50 pounds · Continually exposed to outside weather conditions · Frequently exposed to loud noise Qualifications · Excellent time-management skills. · Must be driven and team oriented. · Bilingual- English/ Spanish preferred Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:30pm-5:00pm, Rotating Saturdays: 8am-12pm *Employees must be willing to work at least one Saturday per month between the hours of 8am-12pm
