About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM, 3 × 12 hr shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 trauma center License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: Level 1 trauma experience (2 years at a Level 1) Experience in GYN, Spine, Hands, Neuro, Ortho, Oncological Breast, and Microvascular cases Scrub experience highly preferred Experience with Ortho and Robotics highly preferred Description: Select either a 6/12 day shift rotation or 3 × 12s Friday to Sunday. Call is required, averaging 2-3 shifts per month depending on staffing needs. Day RNs may be floated to weekends or nights per unit needs. Management aims to keep around 1 weekend in a 4-week schedule and 3 night shifts per 4-week schedule, but these may fluctuate based on needs. The operating room is open 24/7. During the day, 10 rooms are active with 1 room reserved for trauma. There are 2 booked rooms and 1 dedicated trauma room overnight.
