Infant Toddler Teacher

The Sandbox is looking for experienced, passionate and a qualified teachers to work with our 1 year olds. We are also looking for a Lead teacher for our 2 year old group too!

The hours we are looking for would be 8:30 to 5:30 with 1 hour lunch, Monday- Friday. We help train with all of these Duties.

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for toddlers.
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
• Conduct individual and group activities to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians using "Teaching Strategies GOLD"
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones

• Must be able to obtain a fingerprint clearance card 
• Must have your high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to lift 40lbs.
• Must have 6 months Experience in a childcare setting
• Must enjoy working with children

We would prefer someone with experience but we also will train our new teachers.

• Previous experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
• Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development
• Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for children
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
• Understanding of child development stages and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly

Skills:

• Literacy education: Promote early literacy skills through storytelling, reading activities, and language development exercises.
• Experience with children: Demonstrate an understanding of child behavior, needs, and appropriate interactions.
• Physical education: Incorporate physical activities into daily routines to promote gross motor skills development.
• Special education: Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the individual needs of students with special needs or disabilities.
• Childcare: Ensure the safety, well-being, and proper care of children in the classroom.
• Lesson planning: Create engaging lesson plans that align with educational objectives and meet the needs of diverse learners. Using our Creative Curriculum materials.
• Child welfare: Promote the overall well-being and welfare of children in the classroom.
• Toddler care: Provide age-appropriate care for toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and naptime routines.

Starting pay is $15.50 per hour without experience

With experience $16.50 to $18.50 depending on how much experience and education
