About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 5 years required License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred but not required Must-Have: BLS certification Minimum of 5 years of experience in the operating room Description: We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The facility is a licensed 457-bed hospital and designated as a Level 3 Trauma Center. The position requires the ability to circulate in various surgical cases including trauma, orthopedic trauma, total joints, spine, cardiovascular, gynecology, oncology, robotics, general, and bariatrics. The OR unit consists of 19 operating rooms with an average of 50 cases performed daily. Candidates must be flexible, self-driven, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team. Previous experience with laparoscopic and open abdominal cases, as well as proficiency in scrubbing, is beneficial. Holiday coverage will require working 75% of holidays, and weekend rotation will occur every 4th weekend. On-call requirements include an average of 6 shifts per 6-week schedule with a 45-minute response time. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to manage patient needs effectively in a fast-paced environment.
