Lenovo Cloud Service Provider Strategic Account Manager

In this pivotal, customer-facing role, you will be the primary driver of strategic account growth for Lenovo's most advanced AI cloud customers with Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider (CSP) segment. This position is a "hunter" and trusted advisor position, as you'll identify new opportunities, expand partnerships and oversee complex solutions from concept to deployment. Collaborating across Engineering, Technical Sales, and Global Fulfillment teams you will delivered tailored infrastructure solutions that ensure strong Executive engagement and exceptional customer satisfaction.

This position will be positioned in the San Jose commutable area and will include 50% travel. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and advise Executive-level discussions and decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the total customer relationship, including revenue, wallet share, and satisfaction while driving growth in assigned accounts.
• Define the long-term vision and tactical execution for named accounts, identifying new lines of business and partnership opportunities.
• Serve as the primary contact for high-level customer communications, maintaining and strengthening senior executive relationships.
• Advocate for customer needs within Lenovo, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and alignment across stakeholders.
• Partner with Technical Sales, Services, and Engineering teams to design bespoke GPU and high-density compute solutions for AI-scale workloads.
• Lead account planning, opportunity prioritization, and the development of strategic account roadmaps.
• Facilitate and participate in complex negotiations for assigned accounts.
• Manage key customer meetings, task trackers, and presentation materials, coordinating across global time zones as needed.
• Oversee the full cycle from opportunity identification to deployment, ensuring synchronized supply chain operations.
• Lead responses to large-scale RFPs, developing bid strategies and coordinating tactical execution with Inside Sales.
• Analyze account profitability, working with Finance to align P&L data and ensure mutual value in deals.
• Conduct in-person Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), factory tours, and represent Lenovo at industry events.
• Tackle complex problems through detailed analysis and collaborative solutions with internal teams.
• Bring a global perspective to business flow and continuity, applying innovation and sound judgment in solution development.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 8+ years of technology sales experience.
• 8+ years of sales experience with OEM or ODM vendors.
• 8+ years of expertise in strategic selling of current and emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated integrity and the ability to provide constructive feedback in challenging scenarios.
• 10+ years of Technology sales experience, including roles such as Global Account Executive, Account Manager, or Server Sales Specialist.
• 10+ years of Sales experience with OEM or ODM vendors.
• 10+ years of Expertise with strategic selling of current and emerging technologies.
• Foundational technical knowledge of rack-scale architecture.
• Proven ability to engage and sell to technical audiences and engineers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills ensuring messages are received with clarity, timeliness and tact.
• Strong organizational skills and data-driven decision making ability.
• Experience leading large-scale RFP responses, bid strategy and tactical execution.
• Experience delivering reports with Finance, specifically P&L data.
• Experience leading in-person meetings: industry events, factory tours, site visits, offsite visits, business review sessions.
• Experience working across global teams.

In California the base salary range budgeted for this position is $180-200k. Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions (50/50 Plan). This position is remote with typical working hours in alignment to PST business hours and will require significant travel at 50%.
