The Role
- Serve as Medical Director for a mixed-animal, general practice with a busy but well-paced caseload.
- Lead and mentor the clinical team; establish and maintain medical standards and quality protocols.
- Deliver comprehensive care across companion animals, livestock, equine, and select exotics.
- Provide wellness and preventive care, soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, and manage occasional orthopedic cases.
- Support same-day urgent care during business hours and participate in established after-hours case protocols.
- Perform ambulatory/farm calls, including herd-health testing, as part of the mixed-animal service.
- Partner with leadership on service development, workflow optimization, and community engagement.
- Leverage on-site imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy resources for efficient case management.
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with no routine weekend hours.

Requirements
- DVM/VMD or equivalent
- License to practice in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Proven competence in small or mixed-animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry
- Leadership mindset, team orientation, and strong client communication skills
