Position Overview: As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will be an integral part of our dental team, assisting the dentist during procedures and ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care. You will work closely with the rest of the team to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow in the office, while also providing compassionate support to our patients. Title Dental assistant Job Description Key Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays). - Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols. - Ensure patients are comfortable and informed throughout their visit. - Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients. - Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist. - Manage dental supply inventory and order supplies as needed. - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. - Ensure all dental equipment is properly maintained and functioning. - Support the front office staff as needed with scheduling and patient management. - Assist with billing and insurance processing, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims. - Stay current with dental assisting best practices and continuing education. Salary Range full-time $22 - $27 per hour Salary is dependent on skills, qualifications, and experience. Benefits - 401(k) - 401(k) matching - Health insurance - Paid time off Shift & Schedule Work Schedule: - Monday & Wednesday: 8:15 AM - 5:15 PM - Tuesday & Thursday: 7:15 AM - 4:15 PM Requirements Experienced Dental Assistant (2+ years) Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant X-ray / Radiography Certification - Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification. - X-Ray Certification - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental practice, preferably. Preferences - High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred. - Experience in a dental practice is a plus but not required for the right candidate. - Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Proficient in dental software and technology. - Experience with billing and insurance processing is an advantage. - A positive and professional demeanor with a strong work ethic.
