The team is responsible for establishing a culture of data driven decision making and creating business value through promoting the application of data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and techniques across the Quality and Mission Assurance(QMA) function. They will regularly interact with key stakeholders to identify, develop, and deploy data architecture and tools that are aligned to the QMA strategic roadmap. The successful candidate must be an innovative leader and a self-starter with the ability to creatively identify solutions to difficult problems.This position will be located at the Linthicum, MD site.What You'll Get To Do:Develop and implement the Data strategy to support the QMA StrategyLead the execution of DATM activities including leading relevant objectives related to the QMA StrategyDrive the adoption of metrics and data analysis methodologies across sector for improved performance analysisLead the monitoring and analysis of operational data to identify trends, issues and opportunities, and provide recommendations/solutionsActively engage with sector leaders and key stakeholders to identify and understand operational issues and develop solutionsDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and Extract, Translate, and Load(ETL) processes across multiple data sourcesBuild and optimize data models for analytics and reportingImplement robust data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks to ensure reliability of downstream insightsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and 8 years minimum of related data engineering experience; OR a Master's degree with 6 years of related data engineering experience; OR may accept 12 years of related data engineering experience in lieu of degree2 years as a technical leader of product development teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven productsExperience and excellent ability to present complex analytical subject matter across varied audiencesStrong understanding and knowledge of QMA, Operations, and engineering processes, tools, and techniquesExperience with large scale distributed software and agile software development methodologiesDemonstrated experience developing product visions and fostering effective engineering teamsProven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teamsPreferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer ScienceExperience with UX design and developmentStrong proficiency in SQLStrong proficiency developing and deploying Tableau dashboards and the ability to translate business needs into visual insightsSoftware development experienceExperience collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing insights from multiple data sourcesUnderstanding of Northrop Grumman policy, process, and productsAbility to make decisions with minimal supportExperience in a program management rolePrimary Level Salary Range: $167,500.00 - $251,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
