General ManagerThe General Manager is the senior operating leader responsible for full P&L ownership, operational execution, team leadership, and growth strategy for a residential home services business operating within a larger growth platform. This role blends hands-on operational oversight with financial accountability and strategic planning.Core ResponsibilitiesOperations & Service DeliveryLead installation, service, repair, dispatch, and scheduling functionsOversee warehousing, inventory, fleet, tools, and asset utilizationEnsure execution of safety, quality, and customer experience standardsImprove workflows, SOPs, and operational dashboardsRemove bottlenecks and drive field productivityFinancial LeadershipOwn full P&L performanceDevelop and manage budgets and forecastsMonitor job costing, gross margins, labor efficiency, and overheadDrive pricing discipline and cost controlsAnalyze KPIs and operating performanceSales & GrowthPartner with sales to improve close rates and revenue performanceSupport customer and channel relationshipsContribute to market expansion initiativesPeople LeadershipRecruit, develop, and retain managers and field teamsEstablish performance metrics and accountabilityLead performance reviews and coachingFoster a culture of safety and operational excellenceCompliance & RiskEnsure compliance with safety and regulatory requirementsMaintain safety programs and training standardsOversee insurance and risk management practicesQualificationsRequired7+ years leadership in home services, construction, or field operationsProven P&L ownershipStrong financial and operational acumenExperience leading managers and scaling teamsStrong decision-making and communication skillsPreferredExperience in residential tradesExperience in growth-oriented or investor-backed environmentsExperience with field service management softwareCompetitive compensation commensurate with experience.
